Practice makes perfect. These sites will help you prepare for class, understand anime better, and work on speaking, listening, and writing.

POPjisyo.com - What is that word in English? えいごで これは なんですか?Go from English to Japanese and Japanese to English with this great online dictionary.

Kanji Recognition - Sometimes we find a kanji that is completely new. Just draw what it looks like in the special box, choose the kanji that you are looking for, and the definition will come up, too.

Kanji Step - Here is a great practice for ひらがな、カタカナ、and かんじ. Stroke order, sound, and pronunciation are really important, so practice as much as you can!

Usagi-Chan's Genki Resources - Here is a way to practice the vocabulary, ひらがな, カタカナ, and かんじ. Select the chapter and a list for each will pop up with several activities to help you memorize them.

Genki!!! - Our textbook is a great tool for learning. So why not look at their website, too?

JMDict.NET - A free electronic dictionary program (for your desktop) that can be searched in English, romaji, kana, and kanji, containing a large number of phrases. Searching for one phrase may return many synonyms though -- and all of them have different connotations, so check with a sensei!

Kana Memory Game - This is a straightforward romaji/kana matching game. Good for short breaks to get in a little reading/recognition/memory practice.
